Emilio Jose martinez Redondo

Born in Cartagena, he began his musical studies at the age of eight at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, where he finished the professional degree in viola and trumpet. He obtained the higher certificate in viola at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Murcia with Grenda Maria Katarzyna.

He has been on various training courses with teachers such as Emilio Mateu, Alan Kovacs, Jesse Levine, Ettore Causa, Alexander Bobrovsky, Eli Karanfilova, Antonio Clares, Livio Stanesse, etc and in Chamber Music with: Michael Kopelman, (Tokyo Quartet) Rezart Kapetani Kapetani and Diego Sanz (Saravasti Quartet).

He has collaborated in different musical groups such as the Murcia Regional Orchestra, Cartagena Chamber Orchestra, Malaga Symphony Orchestra, La Mancha Philharmonic, Granada Provincial Orchestra, Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra, Hispanian Symphony Orchestra, etc and with conductors such as Brian Weber, J. Miguel Rodilla, Manuel Hernández Silva and Josep Vicent.

As a chamber musician he has played with different groups, the most outstanding of which is the Musicabierta Quartet, performing a quintet programme with guitar along with the prestigious guitarist Álvaro Pierri, in the 12th Ciutat d'Elx Guitar Festival.

He has developed his teaching work in the Chair of Viola at the Superior Conservatory of Malaga and at the Professional Conservatories of Ejido, Linares, Baza and Jaén.

He currently holds a post at the C.E.M. “Sebastían Valero” in Huelma.
