He was born in Canena and studied at the Conservatory of Jaén with Antonio Ferrús and at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid with Justo Sanz. He finished his training at the Barcelona School of Music with Josep Fuster and in Granada with José Luis Estellés. He has taken courses in Historical Clarinet with Erich Hoeprich and Carles Riera.

As a soloist he gave an outstanding series of piano and clarinet concerts with a contemporary repertoire. He is part of the Wind Quintet of Córdoba and has performed the quintets of Weber and Mozart with the Averroes String Quartet with which he continues to play. He has also played with the Stravinsky Group of the OJA in "The History of the Soldier" which was performed in thirty towns and cities in Andalusia.

He won the 2nd National Clarinet Award in the National Cullera Competition and was a member of the Andalusian Youth Orchestra and the Symphonic Orchestra and Classical Orchestra of the Superior School of Music of Madrid and he collaborates regularly with the Cordoba Orchestra and the Spanish Symphony Orchestra.

In the field of teaching he has worked at the Professional Conservatories of Seville and Cordoba and of the "Rafael Orozco" Conservatory of Cordoba, he has also taught Improvement Courses in the Conservatories of Linares, Arcos de la Frontera, Cazorla, courses in Ciudad Real and four editions of the Summer Courses of the University of Jaén. He currently holds a post at the Conservatory of Music of Malaga.
